The pots were found during the construction in the nearby territory of Tsovik Petrosyan’s house which is situated in the Garni village of the Region Kotayk at Charents Street N2 (200 meters northeast from Garni Temple). The land owner informed about it the governor of the village and the latter in his turn informed the Department of the Regional Protection of Monuments. Recently specialists of the Archaeology and Ethnography Institute of the NAS visited the indicated area accompanied by the keeper of the Regional Service PHE of Kotayk. Two of the pots were transferred to the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of NASunder the supervision of archaeologists. While moving the pots some more pots were observed into the soil. As a result of the research the above-mentioned place was conserved and the activities were stopped until the decision of the relevant authorized body was made about this issue. We should note that during agricultural or constructional activities such cases are frequently observed.
