OPEN CLASSES AT SCHOOLS IN GEGHARKUNIK

On the initiative of ” Protection service” NCSO`s regional service of Gegharkunik on International Day of Monuments and Sites was organized open class titled “Cultural Heritage and sustainable tourism” at primary school N1 in the town of Sevan for students in 7-8 grades.
Deputy Head of the Protection service of Gegharkunik region A. Movsisyan presented the story of monuments of the region, especially highlighting the role of young people in the preservation of monuments .

Under the agreement with the school board and the district, soon students will be responsible for cleaning and sanitation improvement works in the area of Genocide Memorial.

On the initiative of Gegharkunik`s Service also an open class was held for high school students, in high school of Martuni. Deputy Head of Regional Service Haik Zarahyan during the class titled “Cultural Heritage and sustainable tourism ” spoke about the monuments included in the list of UNESCO, established the International Day for Monuments and Sites Council and the UNESCO`s World Heritage List.

At the end of the lesson, students expressed their desire on April 18, on International Day for Monuments and Sites, carry out sanitation work together with employees in the territories of Gegharkunik regional service.

Open classes were also held in secondary schools of Ttujur and Tsovazard communities.
