“Charles Aznavour has always been and will be a singer of world wide fame. Generations were brought up with Aznavour’s songs. His main message that the young generation is our humanity’s future, will always stay with us”, mentioned French singer, member of French national guard’s orchestra Jeremie Delver.
Delver became known to Armenian audience after performing “Armenian waltz” song in Charles Aznavour’s funeral. He was officially invited to Armenia to take part in the concert entitled “For you, Aznavour”. J. Delver will perform “Armenian waltz” in the event dedicated to the memory of the great chansonnier.
The French singer is excited and grateful for the invitation. His voice corresponded to the song, that’s why he was selected. In the words of French baryton Armen Shmavonyan and Hilda Geghamyan helped him.
“I hope that I could transfer the idea of that beautiful poetry. Before the death of Aznavour I knew nothing about Armenia and Armenians, now it’s different”, said J. Delver adding that he has many Armenian friends.
“I’m sure that the fate of a person can change in a second, I’m sure that J. Delver’s fate has also changed. He has become the beloved person of the Armenians in the Diaspora”, mentioned the director of “Protection service” NCSO Ara Tarverdyan.
The French singer was in “Garni” historical-cultural museum-reserve yesterday. He made a tour in the territory of the reserve accompanied by NCSO’s director Ara Tarverdyan, getting acquainted with the history of one of the pearls of Armenian architecture, listened to the sounds of Armenian duduk inside the temple.
