The arches and walls of Sanahin bridge have been cleared of grass

The employees of the Lori Regional Service of the “Service for the Protection of Historical Environment and Cultural Museum-reservations” SNCO and the rescuers of the Fire and Rescue Team of Rescue Department of Tumanyan of Rescue Department of Lori Region cleared the arches and the walls of Sanahin bridge from grass and removed the tree roots that have been damaging the monument.
“Service for the Protection of Historical Environment and Cultural Museum-reservations” SNCO is grateful to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia for its support.
Sanahin Bridge connects the two banks of the River Debed. The bridge was built in 1195. Historical sources testifies that the bridge was built by Armenian Queen Vanen in memory of premature death of her spouse.
