On the initiative of the “Service for the Protection of Historical Environment and Cultural Museum-Reservations” SNCO another information panel is installed in the territory of Jrapi Caravanserai.
The latter was built in the X-XI cc. The preserved part of the medieval structure is a three-nave hall with a total length of 31m and a width of 13.65m. The caravanserai was built on the main road going from Georgia and the northern provinces of Armenia to Ani and refers to the city’s heyday. The evidence of it are the signs engraved on the stones by the craftsmen similar to those which are found on other monuments of the same period.
The “Service for the Protection of Historical Environment and Cultural Museum-Reservations” SNCO along with preservation and popularization of monuments all over the country also carries out installation and refreshing activities of information panels in the territories of the monuments.
